My name is Joel Byrum, and for more than three decades, music has been the thread woven through every chapter of my life.

From strumming my acoustic guitar as a teen, writing songs and playing in bands, leading worship, and now exploring new creative frontiers through AI projects like Radio Machina, JBZ, and Colt & Remington, music has always been more than entertainment to me—it has been a way to make sense of the world, tell stories, and connect with people.

I grew up all over California, served four years in the United States Air Force, and eventually found my home in the high desert of Nevada. By day, I work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, helping people breathe a little easier through some of life's most difficult moments. By night, I become a songwriter, musician, producer, and storyteller, chasing melodies and ideas wherever they lead.

Over the years, I've written and performed music spanning rock, metal, country, hip-hop, worship, acoustic ballads, and experimental projects. Some songs are deeply personal. Others are fictional stories, social observations, or explorations of faith, struggle, redemption, loss, hope, and the human condition. No matter the genre, the goal remains the same: tell an honest story that resonates with someone else's journey.

My faith in Jesus Christ has profoundly shaped both my life and my music. It influences how I see the world, how I navigate hardship, and how I understand grace, purpose, and redemption. While not every song is explicitly spiritual, those themes inevitably find their way into the stories I tell.

Today, I continue creating music under several projects and AI personas, each exploring a different corner of the musical landscape. Whether it's the futuristic soundscapes of Radio Machina, heartfelt country storytelling, aggressive rock anthems, or reflective acoustic songs, every project is another chapter in a lifelong conversation between artist and listener.

Although most of the music on this site is created using AI, behind every song is a real person—a son, a friend, a veteran, a healthcare professional, a man of faith, and someone still trying to understand this strange and beautiful journey we call life.
