BEASTIARY — Debut Album

Different species. Different scars. Same noise.

Born beneath the streets of New York from mutation, experimentation, abandonment, and survival, Beastiary brings together four unlikely musicians who were never supposed to find one another—much less become a band.

Rex, Sable, Mako, and Kip arrive with a debut album as unpredictable as they are: a largely instrumental collision of progressive rock, math rock, metal, hip-hop, trap, electronic experimentation, and cinematic sound design. Crushing low-tuned guitars collide with intricate tapping and impossible rhythms. Thunderous live drums lock against booming 808s. Melodic bass lines carry as much emotion as any human voice, while synths, glitches, effects, and moments of eerie atmosphere pull the music somewhere stranger.

But beneath all the technical firepower is a story.

Each member carries the aftermath of becoming something the world never intended them to be.

Kip turns restless curiosity and beautiful chaos into sound. Mako transforms captivity, violence, and enormous physical power into discipline. Sable carries the memory of the human woman she once was, searching for identity in a body she never chose. And Rex meets a world that might call him a monster with swagger, defiance, and an amplifier turned up far too loud.

Their individual stories emerge throughout the record—from the controlled brutality of “Restraint” and fractured beauty of “Remnant” to the reckless experimentation of “Unsupervised.” Eventually those separate voices converge in the album's culmination, “Same Noise.”

This isn't four virtuosos competing for space. It's four outsiders learning how to occupy the same one.

The heaviness has purpose. The complexity has emotion. The chaos has a pulse.

Sometimes it's dark. Sometimes it's beautiful. Sometimes it's absurdly fun. And occasionally it sounds like four genetically altered musicians discovered hip-hop, progressive metal, a room full of effects pedals, and absolutely nobody was responsible enough to stop them.

This is the sound of cages left empty.

Of restraints hitting concrete.

Of something discarded deciding it has value.

Of four misfits discovering that what made each of them different was never what made them alone.
